In this video I will explain why a solid not radiate like an oscillator. Each atom in a quantum mechanic harmonic oscillator will oscillate at a particular frequency only. Any any level gain will only increase in the amplitude in the oscillation and not an increase in the frequency of the oscillation. Then why does a solid not behave like a quantum mechanic oscillator?
