In this video I will explain the combination transition states for water vapor and carbon dioxide (CO2) in Earth's atmosphere. Water vapor and CO2 absorb energy (from the Sun or reflected of the Earth's surface) through vibrational and rotational mode. They are transition states where both the quantum vibrational and rotational state of an atmospheric molecule change at the same time.
